Group Expectations
-
What are your group goals for the project? What do you want to accomplish?
For this project, we want to show the audience Cecelia’s story. We want them to understand what she went through before seeking refuge in America. She had a lot of traumatic experiences in Liberia.
-
What quality of work do you expect from each group member, and what strategies will you employ to ensure that you fulfill those standards?
We are all going to produce high quality work. We are aiming to make a high quality video of the interview so it can communicate easily with the audience.
-
How will you encourage ideas from all group members?
We will all work on different parts of the video. For an example, one of us will work on the effects, one of us will work on cutting the clips and the other can work on changing the audio levels.
-
What program are you going to use (iMovie, Moviemaker, etc.)? If not all group members have this program, how are you going to manage the workload (e.g., using campus computers, working collaboratively, etc.)?
We are going to use imovie because we all have macs and it will be easy to work between all of our computers.
-
How are you going to organize and share your files?
Everytime we make changes to the video, we will share it through an email so we each have the most updated version of the project. We will also text our group chat to let each other know about the changes made and ask for opinion/critique.
-
Where are you going to store/share files? How are you going to name files (e.g., name and date? Name, date, and initials of last person who edited/saved file?)?
We will store/share files on a flash drive and through imovie. We all have Macbooks so they will be able to use the same software. We will do date and initials of last person to save.
-
When and where are you going to meet (Days/Times/Location) while working on this project?
After class on mondays or thursdays, either on campus (library, etc.) or at our apartment in bristol.
-
How are you going to communicate between meetings/class?
We all have each other’s phone numbers and we can communicate that way.
-
Define each group member’s expected level of responsibility for attending meetings, responding to communication from other group members, and completing assigned tasks on time.
We are all expected to come to class and answer group texts regarding meeting times/project. If one member cannot make a meeting time we will either reschedule or assign the member their own piece to complete when they are available.
-
Describe how the group will handle a member who does not comply with contract. What are the consequences?
Communicate the issue at next meeting and discuss solution.
